Meditation encompasses a variety of techniques to train your mind and focus your awareness. From mantra recitation and guided visualization to mindfulness and breath awareness—the landscape of meditation is exciting and varied. Consistently engaging with one or more of these techniques can be profoundly impactful on its own, and is also a powerful way to deepen your yoga practice.

Welcome to Day 14 of the Get to Know Glo Series. This series is just as much about getting to know our platform as it is about getting to know yourself. Use these classes as a way to set an intention for your day and to start building a practice that excites you to get on your mat. Recharge while experiencing true relaxation at the same time. Spend this Yoga Nidra practice in Savasana tuning into your senses and your breath as a way to cultivate deep mindfulness. This class was previously aired on January 14, 2022. Begin with Alternate Nostril Breathing to bring neutrality to the mind, then meditate on the mantra So Hum to merge your mind, body, and breath. We strongly suggest using headphones to optimize your experience. Props Suggested: a cushion, blanket, or something to sit on.

Begin with Breath of Light to focus your mind and move your energy along the length of your spine. Use a guided meditation to systematically draw your awareness to each chakra from pelvic floor to crown of head, unlocking their potential and empowering them as you progress. We strongly suggest using headphones to optimize your experience. Props Suggested: a cushion, blanket, or something to sit on.

An uplifting Yoga Nidra class for full-body relaxation. Use visualiztion and a body scan to follow your breath and recharge your energy from the outside in. Finish your practice feeling expansive. Release tension with simple neck stretches, a meditation, and body scan. Create a comfortable seat, or take this meditation lying down, so that you are able to fully fall into relaxation. Learn to control unhelpful habits in the mind such as racing thoughts or negative patterns through meditation and a variety of breathing techniques. Begin by energizing the body and clearing the mind with Breath of Fire and a Body Scan, then incorporate a mantra. Move energy and hone the mind with Circular Breathing and Savasana to seal your practice.

All it takes is 20 minutes to change your perspective. This meditation is a practice in awareness using a variety of techniques that incorporate the eyes, breath, and mind. Practice this meditation both standing and seated. Props Required: choose a seat using a bolster, 2-3 blankets, or a chair.

Sink into this grounding meditation to create space for awareness in your body and mind without reactivity. Practice uplifting breathing techniques to help facilitate a “withdrawal of the senses” or Pratyahara. This class was previously streamed on June 3, 2021.
