Following a fifteen year career as a professional dancer, Steven eventually discovered yoga and immediately fell in love.

After participating in the first Anusara teacher training in Los Angeles, Steven began teaching in 2001. During this time he has taught both nationally and internationally. In 2004, Steven was invited to Berlin, Germany where he helped open two successful studios.

With his heart-oriented approach to yoga, combined with a deep understanding of alignment, therapeutics and philosophy, Steven's highest hope is to inspire and empower students to remember the true teacher within their own heart.

Yoga

Level 1-2 60 mins

Healthy Ego, Humble Heart - our practice of yoga as a way of cultivating a healthy ego while maintaining a humble heart. Gentle warm up leading into a vigorous standing pose series with primary focus on lower body stability to create upper body flexibility. Includes hip opener with Eka Pada Raja Kopatasana (Pidgeon), backbending with Danurasana (Bow) and concluding with spinal twisting. Also includes a brief explanation of front and back body expansion as it relates to the theme of healthy ego and humble heart.

Yoga

Level 1 45 mins

Many people experience ongoing pressure throughout the day. Your practice is an opportunity to release emotional anxiety and physical tightness due to stress. Practice a grounding sequence that begins with warming sun salutations, standing poses and half boat pose, moving on to a flow of seated forward folds and bridge. Reconnect with something deep within as you release tension, open your heart and strengthen your foundation.

Yoga

Level 1-2 30 mins

Just like any physical workout, your yoga practice can become routine. Step out of your comfort zone and practice holding poses just a little longer than usual. Dig deeper into your strength and practice a series of postures that include warrior II, extended side angle and chair, moving on to plank holds and crow to help sharpen your focus and increase determination. You'll build greater strength and stamina with this fun class.
