Following a fifteen-year career as a professional dancer, Steven Espinosa discovered yoga and immediately fell in love. After participating in the first Anusara teacher training in Los Angeles, Steven began teaching in 2001 and went on to teach nationally and internationally. In 2004, he was invited to Berlin, Germany, where he helped open two successful yoga studios. Steven brought a heart-oriented approach to yoga, grounded in a deep understanding of alignment, therapeutics, and philosophy. His teaching was warm, thoughtful, and deeply attentive to the individual, always encouraging students to trust themselves and remember the true teacher within their own hearts. Steven was one of Glo’s original and most beloved teachers. He passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 63. We are deeply grateful for the many years he shared his wisdom, kindness, and practice with our community. His teachings remain on Glo so that students can continue to practice with him and experience the care, integrity, and heart he brought to every class.

Start your day off with a kick! Practice an energizing series of sun salutations with variations that includes utkatasana, plank and cobra, moving into forward folds and crescent lunge. Take savasana on your own, if time allows. A great practice in the morning, after a long workday, or anytime you need an invigorating pick-me up. And remember, even just a few minutes a day is something, better than nothing!

Short and sweet, this class will help you do just that! Practice a sequence that includes a little bit of everything - forward folds, lunges, shoulder openers and plank push ups, concluding in child's pose. Props Suggested: A block.
