Anula
Maiberg

Anula Maiberg was born in Israel and moved to NYC to pursue a career in photography in 2001. While working on her degree at the School of Visual Arts, she fell in love with Pilates through the classes and private sessions she took around the city. After receiving her Masters in Fine Art from the Royal College in London and spending a few years at a desk job, she realized happiness wasn't in front of the computer screen. She decided to attend the Kane School for Core Integration (Kinected) to become a fully certified teacher and graduated in 2009. After several years teaching, she was accepted into the Kathy Grant Heritage Training Masters and graduated in 2014.

In 2017, Anula started a world tour spanning the U.S., Canada, Europe, the U.K. and Australia. She's been hosted by Polestar, Breathe Education and Stott, and presented at the 2018 PMA conference and Body Control Summit. Anula is passionate about upholding the traditions and principles of Pilates while being able to update and personalize them for the needs of her students. She also feels strongly about volunteering her time to the LGBTQ community and believes Pilates is a wonderful movement modality and tool for healing in a supportive environment.

Level 2 30 mins

Use your bolster in unique ways as you move your spine in all directions. Step outside your comfort zone with a flowing sequence featuring some surprise twists and turns. You'll invert, make some big movements with the bolster, and learn new patterns throughout this moderately paced class. Props Needed: A bolster.

Level 1-2 15 mins

Try out some traditional Pilates movements with a twist -- using a bolster for added work with balance and coordination. This is a great class for teachers seeking creative tools to spice up their sessions, or anyone looking for a fun, new challenge. Props Needed: A bolster.

Pilates

Level 2 15 mins

This fun, functional movement class places zero weight on your shoulders. Get your core working with some gentle ab work and play with balance in a standing series at the end. A great practice for when your shoulders are achy, but you still want to move a bit.
