Alex is a yoga, meditation, and breathwork teacher based in Santa Monica, California. Though he started his yoga journey seeking strength, balance, and flexibility as a way to improve his surfing skills, he soon realized that these abilities reflect a deeper and more powerful shift taking place within.

Alex sees yoga as an energetic practice that manifests in the physical body. This philosophy shines through his practice and teaching style. In his classes, Alex speaks to awareness and feeling as much as technique and form, intuitively guiding you to explore greater physical depth.

Since his first teacher training in 2011, Alex chose to dedicate his life to studying yoga and has since taught over 5,000 classes, led retreats around the world, and lectured on yogic philosophy and meditation in teacher trainings. His philosophy, “keep your spine long, your breath strong, and your mind on” is a formula for presence and clarity on and off the mat. His classes will leave you feeling clear, connected, and empowered to shine your light for yourself and everyone around you.

This Hatha class focuses on poses that help us find a balance between our heart that unifies and our mind that separates, and how the awareness of the two connect us with ourselves and the world around us. Begin with chest- and hip-opening postures like Locust Pose, Side Plank, and standing backbends. Peak in Floor Bow and Camel Pose. This class was previously streamed on June 17, 2021. Meditation

Level 1-2 20 mins

What we see in our minds, we experience in our body. Learn how to generate energy with your limitless imagination. This meditation uses visualization and mantra as a means of creating an intentional dream state to shift your mood and physiology to a state of your choosing. Tap into this cultivated energy at any moment when you need a boost.

Yoga

Level 2 45 mins

This Hatha class focuses on the hamstrings and the process of bending while maintaining safety and integrity in the spine and breath. Progress from low-level hip flexor engagements to a more intense Seated Forward Fold. This class was previously streamed on June 10, 2021. Props Required: 2 blocks.
